Three areas we know street by street.
Ray covers all of Sydney metro, but reception and building stock change enormously across the city. These three are the areas where knowing the local quirks saves you a wasted visit.
Eastern Suburbs
Salt air kills a standard antenna on this side of Sydney in about three years, and a good half of the harbour-facing homes here are fighting a reflection rather than a weak signal. Both get diagnosed and fixed in one visit.

Inner West
In most Inner West homes the antenna on the roof is fine. The fault is in forty-year-old coax between it and your TV, and finding that out costs a morning instead of a new installation.

Lower North Shore
Down here the usual reception fault is too much signal, not too little. Which is why the amplifier the last installer fitted did not fix it, and why the fix is often cheaper than the quote you are holding.

Parramatta & The Hills
Out here the antenna usually is the problem, and that is the opposite of the inner suburbs. You sit at the far end of a signal that left Artarmon twenty-five kilometres ago, so height and siting do the work that a new cable would do closer in.

Everywhere else
Outside those three? Ray still drives.
Forty years of driving this city and he still likes the run. Campbelltown and out through the south-west, Hornsby and the top of the North Shore, west past Penrith to the foot of the Blue Mountains. If that is where you are, he will come and meet you, walk the room with you, and tell you what it actually needs before anyone mentions money.
The three areas above have their own page for one reason: their reception problems are distinct enough to be worth writing down. Everywhere else gets the same van, the same test gear and the same person who answered the phone.
